Efforts to Foster a Childcare-Friendly Atmosphere Including Production of Childbirth and Parenting Guidebook and Promotional Videos

On the 26th, Pohang City appointed Shin Jae-hyeop and Kang Han-jin, a couple with five children, as 'Pohang City Public Ambassadors.'

With this appointment, the couple will play a role in spreading the happiness of large families and widely promoting Pohang as a city that is good for raising children and providing care.

In particular, it is expected that by sharing their child-rearing experiences and family happiness stories with many citizens, they will deliver positive messages about Pohang as a child-friendly city both domestically and internationally.

Mr. Shin Jae-hyeop said, "I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as a public ambassador for Pohang," adding, "As a large family, I hope to share the rewards of parenting and the happiness felt while watching our children grow with many people, contributing to creating an atmosphere to overcome low birth rates."

Mayor Lee Kang-deok said, "We have high expectations as the couple, who have created a happy family and bring positive energy to the local community, have been appointed as Pohang City's public ambassadors," and added, "Since the low birth rate issue is difficult to solve with financial support alone, we look forward to broad activities that help citizens empathize with childbirth promotion policies and improve awareness."

Starting with this appointment, Pohang City plans to actively promote the stories of large families using various media such as producing childbirth and parenting guidebooks and promotional videos, aiming to foster a child-friendly social atmosphere.

Mr. Shin Jae-hyeop, the father of the large family, continues to pursue his dream as a singer while working at a company, having won the grand prize at the 2023 Pohang MBC Workers' Song Festival and released a single album titled "Guryongpo Love" this year.
