Pocheon City Successfully Concludes 'United by Love' Neighbor Helping Day Celebration Event

Gyeonggi Pocheon City (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) announced on the 26th that it successfully held the ‘United by Love, 2024 Neighbor Helping Day Commemoration Event’ on the 25th at the large conference room on the 2nd floor of the new building of Pocheon City Hall.

This event was organized to commemorate Pocheon City's Neighbor Helping Day, encourage those who contributed to neighbor helping activities, spread a culture of sharing, and build ‘Hope Pocheon, a happy city to live in together with citizens.’

At the awards ceremony, commendations from the Governor of Gyeonggi Province for contributions to spreading the sharing culture and appreciation plaques from the Mayor of Pocheon for contributions to neighbor helping were presented. A total of 20 awardees were recognized for their service.

Additionally, a donation ceremony was held for contributions made through the Gyeonggi Social Welfare Community Chest by ▲Kanggil Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Yong) ▲119 Safety Foundation (Chairman Shin Dong-il) ▲K-water Metropolitan Area Cooperation Group (Director Kim Neung-geun).

Mayor Baek Young-hyun of Pocheon said, “Based on communication and trust with citizens, we will do our best to create a city full of love for neighbors,” and added, “I hope everyone has a warm and heartwarming year-end.”

Meanwhile, in the lobby on the 1st floor of the new building of Pocheon City Hall, the Donor Hall of Honor will be operated for a week, featuring photo exhibitions related to ‘Angel Day’ and the ‘Hope Pantry Distribution Project’ to honor the precious intentions of donors, as well as neighbor helping video broadcasts.
