Neighborhood Communication Approaching Citizens

On the 25th, Kim Dong-geun, Mayor of Uijeongbu City, participated as a one-day community leader in the monthly meeting of the Songsan 1-dong Community Leaders Association (President Park Jong-hoon) as part of the 'Dong(洞)geun(近) Communication' initiative to get closer to the citizens.

Donggeun Communication is a policy designed for the mayor to directly immerse himself in the neighborhoods to strengthen communication with residents more closely.

On this day, Mayor Kim Dong-geun, as the one-day honorary community leader of Songsan 1-dong, shared various city administration projects with residents and discussed key policies related to local issues, engaging directly on site.

President Park Jong-hoon said, “Thank you for visiting Songsan 1-dong, and we look forward to your continued administration that listens to voices from the field and practices communication and empathy.”

Mayor Kim Dong-geun stated, “It was meaningful to participate in the Community Leaders Association meeting, which understands every corner of the neighborhood, and communicate together on current issues,” adding, “I will continue to take an active interest in the development of Songsan 1-dong and realize an open administration that leads communication and empathy.”

The city plans to continue holding communication events so that citizens can directly resolve their questions about city administration through the mayor and foster pride as cooperative partners in city governance.
