Maniker F&G announced on the 26th that it held a completion ceremony for its second factory dedicated to the production of premium home meal replacement (HMR) chicken.
Starting with the completion of its R&D center in 2021 and declaring a 'second leap,' Maniker F&G has completed a new production facility of approximately 3,000 pyeong after three years of preparation. The second factory is equipped with state-of-the-art 'continuous frying' equipment and 'sauce coating' facilities, enabling the production of more differentiated premium products.
The new production line has introduced an advanced system that maximizes the crispy texture of the products and automatically adds liquid and powder sauces. The second factory, which began operations on the 20th, will secure an annual production capacity of over 1,500 tons, making rapid mass commercialization possible.
A Maniker F&G representative stated, "With the completion of the new factory, we can offer domestic consumers crispier and more diverse premium frozen chicken products," adding, "We also plan to lead the globalization of K-food by exporting various Korean chicken processed products and Samgyetang to overseas markets."
Currently, Maniker F&G produces over 130 types of retort products, including chicken, fried pork, oven-grilled short rib patties, smoked chicken, and Samgyetang. In 2023, the company achieved sales exceeding 100 billion won for the first time since its establishment, and record-high sales are expected again this year.
Meanwhile, the completion of Maniker F&G's new factory reflects the continuous growth of the HMR market and consumer needs, and it is expected to strengthen market competitiveness through various premium products in the future.
