Korea Toyota Motor announced on the 26th that it will officially launch the 2025 Camry Hybrid (HEV) in the domestic market.
Toyota's mid-size sedan Camry was first introduced to the Korean market in 2009. The newly unveiled 2025 Camry Hybrid (HEV) is a completely redesigned 9th generation model. Developed with a focus on quality and durability, it is based on the TNGA-K platform, with design, performance, and product competitiveness enhanced compared to the previous generation model.
By removing the base trim that existed in previous model years, the starting price has increased slightly. Korea Toyota Motor has priced the 2025 model's XLE grade trim at 48 million KRW and the XLE Premium grade at 53.6 million KRW.
The exterior design of the 2025 Camry Hybrid emphasizes a low and wide stance with a hammerhead design shape and racing-inspired front corner air vents, making it sleek and sporty.
The interior enhances premium feel by applying luxurious materials and advanced technology, featuring a 12.3-inch multi-information display and a 12.3-inch touch-type center display to emphasize a high-tech image.
Equipped with Toyota's latest hybrid system, the 5th generation THS (Toyota Hybrid System), the output of the engine and motor has been improved. The 9th generation Camry's hybrid system combines a 2.5ℓ inline 4-cylinder gasoline engine and an electric motor to deliver a total system output of 227 horsepower, maintaining a fuel efficiency of 17.1 km/ℓ (combined), while improving acceleration performance compared to the previous model.
Additionally, factors affecting NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) that determine sedan ride comfort, such as engine noise and vibration, and wind noise, have been significantly improved through various reinforcements. Suspension improvements also enhance ride comfort, providing a quiet and smooth driving experience.
Furthermore, upgraded preventive safety features 'Toyota Safety Sense (TSS)' and the infotainment system 'Toyota Connect,' along with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, are standard across all trims.
Also, the XLE Premium grade trim is equipped with customer-preferred safety and convenience features such as heated and ventilated front seats, eight SRS airbags, panoramic sunroof, head-up display (HUD), heated rear seats, power reclining rear seats, and rear control switches.
Kang Daehwan, Vice President of Toyota Korea, said, "The newly introduced '2025 Camry Hybrid' is a model with significantly enhanced product competitiveness, including refined driving performance and convenience features, offering a new choice for customers seeking eco-friendly hybrids."
