Korea Venture Investment Hosts Startup Investment Briefing Event in Honam Region

Korea Venture Investment Corp., the fund of funds operator, announced on the 26th that it held an investor relations (IR) event to support investment attraction for startups in the Honam region.

On this day, Korea Venture Investment held the ‘IR-ROUND’ at the Gwangju Center for Creative Economy and Innovation. This was to provide investment attraction opportunities for startups in underserved regions amid the concentration of venture investments in the Seoul metropolitan area.

The participating startups were companies discovered and invested in by early-stage investors in the Honam region. ▲Intflow Co., ▲Mona Co., ▲ISP, ▲Korea Mobility, ▲ABR, and ▲Dajayo have all entered the scale-up stage, making them eligible for review by venture capital (VC) investment screening. In particular, 14 Seoul metropolitan area investment firms managing regional investment venture funds attended this event, increasing the investment potential of the IR companies.

Korea Venture Investment plans to continuously create connections between regional startups and Seoul metropolitan area investors to resolve the concentration of venture investments in the metropolitan area. A representative from Korea Venture Investment said, “We will strive to continuously expand practical opportunities for regional startups to attract investments.”
