In November 2018, Jung Woo-sung joined singer Kang Daniel in the "Letters from Angels" photo exhibition. Running for 16 years since 2003, "Letters from Angels" is a campaign for children eligible for adoption and single mothers, organized by photographer Jo Se-hyun and the Korea Social Welfare Council to improve public awareness of domestic adoption. Over the course of 16 exhibitions, 354 stars and 348 children participated.

Jung Woo-sung, who took part in the campaign, held a baby and said, "It’s burdensome. Before and during the shoot, I wondered, 'Is it okay for me to participate in this campaign?' Because it’s about a life." He added, "It’s not an easy matter as it involves a person’s life, various social consciousness, and issues, so it’s burdensome." Six years after expressing such concerns, Jung Woo-sung became embroiled in an extramarital child scandal. According to an entertainment media report, Moon Ga-bi and Jung Woo-sung first met through a gathering in 2022 and grew close, with Moon Ga-bi becoming pregnant with Jung Woo-sung’s child in June last year. Jung Woo-sung’s agency, Artist Company, stated on the 24th, "The child publicly acknowledged by Moon Ga-bi is indeed Jung Woo-sung’s biological child," and added, "We are discussing the best way to raise the child and will take full responsibility."
