Gangseo-gu Installs 'Heated Seats' at 169 Bus Stops

Additional Installation at 88 Locations by Next Month

Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) will install additional heated seats at 88 city bus stops in the area by next month to enhance the convenience of public transportation use for citizens during the winter season.

Previously, the district completed the installation of heated seats at 81 out of 180 city bus boarding areas in the region, and with the additional 88 heated seats to be installed this time, the installation rate will increase to 93% (a total of 169 locations).

The heated seats to be installed will operate from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. and are equipped with a timer and an automatic temperature detection system that adjusts the seat temperature in real-time according to the ambient temperature. If the winter temperature drops below 15℃, the seat temperature will automatically rise up to 38℃.

Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon said, “We will continue to expand various facilities that prioritize the convenience of residents. We will also do our best to minimize any inconvenience residents may experience during the installation process.”
