Geumcheon-gu to Recruit 258 Participants for Seoul Companion Job Project in First Half of 2025

Recruiting 258 People for 37 Projects Until December 4... Working at Community Hub Spaces, Cultural and Sports Facilities, Libraries, Parks, etc. from January 10 to June 30, 2025

Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that it is recruiting participants for the Seoul Donghaeng Job Project for the first half of 2025 until December 4.


The district is promoting the project to provide direct jobs to economically vulnerable employment groups to support their livelihoods and help stabilize employment.


The project will mainly select public works related to local issues and beneficial to many residents. In particular, it plans to actively discover and promote key district government auxiliary job projects such as supporting the operation of youth activity spaces like Cheongnyeon Kkumteo and Cheongchun Building, and guiding elderly and pregnant women visiting health centers.


The recruitment fields include 37 projects such as managing convenience facilities in traditional markets, inspecting park facilities, and supporting the operation of welfare facilities for the disabled, with a total of 258 people to be recruited.


Applicants must be Geumcheon-gu residents aged 18 or older with work ability as of the project start date, January 10, 2025, who are unemployed or daily workers without regular income, and whose combined household property listed on the resident registration certificate is 499 million KRW or less.


Residents wishing to participate can visit their local community service center with identification, application form, and consent form for personal information collection and use to apply.

Detailed eligibility criteria, working conditions, and application forms can be found in the ‘Notices & Announcements’ section on the Geumcheon-gu Office website.


The district will review applicants’ property status, number of dependents, number of public job participations, and exclusion criteria, and announce the selection results on January 7 on the ‘Geumcheon News’ section of the Geumcheon-gu Office website.


The final successful candidates will work at various workplaces such as Geumcheon-gu Office, traditional markets, and local parks from January 10 to June 30, 2025. The wage will be based on the 2025 minimum hourly wage of 10,030 KRW. Participants will work 5 hours a day, 5 days a week, and receive 57,000 KRW per day including meal allowance. However, participants aged 65 or older will work 3 hours a day, 5 days a week, and receive 37,000 KRW per day including meal allowance.


In addition, participants will be mandatorily enrolled in the four major social insurances and receive safety and labor education, sexual harassment prevention education, workplace bullying prevention education, and health checkups for safety and health.

We will continue to strive to provide customized employment support such as job counseling, employment and entrepreneurship education support, and future job experience for job seekers.”
