"Scheduled to Attend the Blue Dragon Film Awards Ceremony on the 29th"
Actor Jung Woo-sung (51), revealed as the biological father of model Moon Ga-bi's (35) son, will appear at an official event in four days.
On the 25th, Jung Woo-sung's agency Artist Company announced, "Jung Woo-sung will attend the 45th Blue Dragon Film Awards ceremony as scheduled on the 29th."
Jung Woo-sung is considered a strong contender for the Best Actor award for his role in last year's film 'Spring in Seoul,' which attracted 13 million viewers. If Jung Woo-sung wins the Best Actor award at the Blue Dragon Film Awards, it will be his first time in five years since 'Innocent Witness' in 2019. Attention is focused on whether Jung Woo-sung will personally address the news of his son's birth during his acceptance speech.
Earlier, the entertainment media Dispatch reported that Jung Woo-sung is the biological father of Moon Ga-bi's son. According to the report, the two first met at a gathering in 2022 and grew close. They are not officially dating, nor do they have plans to marry.
In response, Jung Woo-sung's agency Artist Company stated, "The child publicly revealed by Moon Ga-bi on social media is indeed Jung Woo-sung's biological child," adding, "We are discussing the best way to raise the child. (Jung Woo-sung) will take full responsibility for the child." However, the agency drew a line by saying, "We cannot confirm details related to the timing of the child's birth, the relationship status between Moon Ga-bi and Jung Woo-sung, or marriage plans, as these are private matters."
Meanwhile, Moon Ga-bi, who gained recognition through beauty variety shows such as 'Get It Beauty,' had been inactive in the entertainment industry for a while before announcing the birth of her son on Instagram on the 22nd. However, she did not mention marriage or the identity of the child's father.
In her post, Moon Ga-bi said, "The news came so suddenly that I was not prepared at all, so rather than fully enjoying the joy or congratulations of pregnancy, I quietly spent most of the pregnancy period surrounded by my family's blessings." She added, "The only reason I chose to do so was for the sake of the child to be born."
She continued, "Now that the child is in the world and in front of me, although I am still not perfectly prepared as a mother, regardless of my shortcomings, seeing this child who fills my heart with love just by existing, I have resolved to become a healthy mother filled with love and happiness rather than perfection."
