Yeonggwang-gun Successfully Concludes Community Sports Festival... Over 2,000 Participants

19 Sports Including Soccer, Table Tennis, and Tennis

Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 25th that it successfully concluded the 27th Sports for All Festival held on the 23rd and 24th at Yeonggwang Sportium and various sports venues.


The opening ceremony held on the 23rd at Yeonggwang Sportium National Sports Center was attended by key figures including Jang Se-il, Mayor of Yeonggwang-gun, Lee Gae-ho, Member of the National Assembly, Kim Gang-heon, Chairman of Yeonggwang County Council, Jeong Byeong-hwan, Chairman of Yeonggwang Sports Council, as well as presidents of various sports associations.

Hosted by Yeonggwang-gun and Yeonggwang County Council and organized by Yeonggwang Sports Council, this event featured 19 sports including archery, gateball, basketball, badminton, soccer, table tennis, and tennis, with over 2,000 amateur athletes participating to promote health and foster harmony and friendship among sports enthusiasts.


Starting with a preliminary volleyball match on the 22nd, the first day on the 23rd featured competitions in 11 sports including gateball, soccer, table tennis, and tennis, while the second day on the 24th held matches in 7 sports including baseball, basketball, archery, and badminton.


A county official stated, “We will strive to create a Yeonggwang where amateur athletes can enjoy a healthy life by expanding sports facilities and promoting the spread of sports for all.”
