Donation of 5,743 Items from Employees and Sponsorship from Eco-Friendly Toilet Paper Sales Proceeds
The National Health Insurance Service Busan Ulsan Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters (Director Choi Deok-geun) held a 'Bazaar for Beautiful Sharing' at the Beautiful Store Busan Myeongnyun Station branch on the 23rd.
Now in its 19th year, this bazaar is a representative social contribution project of the BUG Headquarters, carried out through the voluntary participation of employees.
Over the past 18 years, a total of 66,138 donated items have been sold, generating approximately 76 million KRW in proceeds, which have been donated to vulnerable groups in the local community and the Korea Leukemia Pediatric Cancer Association, practicing warm sharing.
Especially this year, with active participation from employees, a record-breaking 5,743 various items were donated. Additionally, as part of ESG resource circulation, discarded milk cartons and shredded paper were collected and recycled into 800 rolls of upcycled tissue paper, which were also sold and well received by citizens.
The proceeds from the bazaar sales and employee donations totaling 11 million KRW will be donated to child welfare facilities partnered with the NHIS, supporting children requiring treatment for behavioral disorders, as well as to Busan National University Children's Hospital, to support a healthy future for children.
Director Choi Deok-geun stated, “It is thanks to the consistent participation of our employees that the 'Bazaar for Beautiful Sharing' has continued for 19 years,” and added, “We will continue to practice warm sharing and take the lead in fulfilling our social responsibilities in the local community.”
