2024 Public Sewer Operation and Management Performance Evaluation

Guri City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun) announced on the 25th that it was selected as an outstanding institution by watershed office in the 2024 public sewage evaluation hosted by the Ministry of Environment.

The Ministry of Environment conducted an evaluation of 160 public sewage management authorities nationwide, assessing 40 items across four areas including common public sewage fields and sewage operation management. Guri City was selected as an outstanding institution by the Hangang River Basin Environmental Office.

Guri City has been continuously dredging sewage pipelines to resolve inconveniences caused by odor and sewage blockages, proactively preparing for disasters and accidents, and installing an intelligent system for public sewage treatment facilities to achieve optimized operation, thereby promoting energy savings and stable water treatment.

Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun stated, “Being selected as an outstanding institution by watershed office in this public sewage operation management evaluation confirms once again the excellence of Guri City’s public sewage maintenance and water quality management. We will continue to improve facilities and ensure stable operation to establish an advanced sewage treatment system.”
