Gyeongbuk Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Jong-sik) held a 'Sharing Love Rice' delivery ceremony on the 25th with NongHyup Bank Gyeongbuk Headquarters and the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea.
At the event, Superintendent Lim Jong-sik of Gyeongbuk Office of Education, Choi Jin-su, head of NongHyup Bank Gyeongbuk Headquarters, Jeon Woo-heon, chairman of the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea, and about 10 other officials attended to reaffirm their commitment to supporting vulnerable students in the province.
This delivery ceremony was organized to support 1,700 households of elementary, middle, and high school students in the Gyeongbuk area who are at risk of food insecurity. NongHyup Bank Gyeongbuk Headquarters donated 34 tons of rice (20kg, 1,700 bags) produced in Gyeongbuk, worth approximately 100 million KRW.
The Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea plans to deliver the donated rice directly to the homes of vulnerable student families. This event is significant not only as a form of support but also in promoting the excellence of Gyeongbuk-produced rice and encouraging rice consumption, thereby providing practical help to local farmers.
Superintendent Lim Jong-sik of Gyeongbuk Office of Education stated, “We will pay closer attention and provide support so that children in difficult environments can grow up happily and healthily,” adding, “We deeply appreciate NongHyup Bank Gyeongbuk Headquarters and the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea for their continuous support.”
