Singer BoA (38) is estimated to have made a capital gain of 7.1 billion KRW from her building in Cheongdam-dong.

According to Building Road Real Estate Brokerage Corporation on the 24th, BoA purchased a house near the luxury street in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, in May 2006 for 1.055 billion KRW when she was 19 years old. The house had an area of 59 pyeong, which means she bought it at 17.88 million KRW per pyeong. Later, in 2008, she demolished the house and built a small building with one basement floor and five above-ground floors on the site. BoA was listed as the building owner at the age of 21.

The building is located about a 15-minute walk from Apgujeong Rodeo Station on the Suin-Bundang Line. Although the foot traffic is not high, it holds high value due to its private environment, the unique demand of Cheongdam-dong, and a stable income structure. It is known that various high-end tenants currently operate businesses in the building. The current market price of the building is estimated to be around 8.2 billion KRW. This estimate is based on a nearby building that was traded at 139 million KRW per pyeong in July, applied to the land area of 59 pyeong. If sold, it could yield a capital gain of approximately 7.1 billion KRW compared to the purchase price.

Kim Kyung-hyun, manager at Building Road Real Estate Brokerage Corporation, explained, "BoA's building has recorded a significant increase in asset value due to its locational advantage in the backstreets of Cheongdam-dong and the characteristics of the newly constructed small building. It can be evaluated as a representative successful investment case by a celebrity who secured both stable rental income and capital gains."

Meanwhile, BoA, born in 1986, debuted in the music industry in 2000 with her first full album 'ID;Peace B'. Since then, she has risen to the top as a leading singer with numerous hit songs such as 'No.1', 'Atlantis Princess', 'My Name', 'Girls On Top', 'Hurricane Venus', and 'Only One'. Notably, she entered the Japanese market just one year after her debut and achieved great success, gaining global popularity. Additionally, she successfully concluded her concert 'BoA LIVE TOUR - BoA : One's Own' in October.
