Providing a Shopping Experience Like Visiting a Physical Store
"Will Collaborate with Visual Tech Startups"
KT announced on the 25th that it has opened the 'KT Sports 3D Showroom,' where customers can enjoy shopping without spatial and temporal constraints.
The KT Sports 3D Showroom offers customers a vivid shopping experience as if they were visiting a real store. Customers can closely examine products through a 3D view that allows them to rotate items with a sense of depth and make purchases in real time.
In the 3D showroom, popular goods and limited-edition products from sports teams such as KT Wiz, KT Sonicboom, and KT Rolster will be sold until January 21 of next year. Among customers who purchase KT Wiz goods worth more than 150,000 KRW, five will receive a 'KT Wiz Player Uniform,' and those who upload purchase reviews will be entered into a draw to receive a 'KT Wiz Player Autographed Ball.'
The KT Sports 3D Showroom was realized by combining KT's cloud streaming technology with the scanning technology of the visual tech specialist company 'Bibimble.' Bibimble is developing an artificial intelligence virtual entertainment solution. They have developed the metaverse platform 'Vicus,' which allows anyone to create their own space, and 'Vertudio,' which supports the creation and operation of virtual idols.
Kim Byung-kyun, Head of KT Device Division (Executive Director), said, "Based on cloud streaming technology, we are now able to provide KT sports fans with a new shopping experience. We will collaborate with capable visual tech startups to expand the virtual content market and create many precedents that foster new growth engines."
