Actor Jung Woo-sung (51) has been revealed as the biological father of the son recently born to model Moon Ga-bi (35), bringing renewed attention to Jung Woo-sung's comments about marriage made during Moon Ga-bi's pregnancy.
On the 25th, a video of Jung Woo-sung appearing on singer Sung Si-kyung's personal YouTube channel last November, discussing his views on marriage, has been spreading across various online communities. At the time, when Sung Si-kyung asked, "Why haven't you gotten married?" Jung Woo-sung replied, "It's not that I haven't done it, but that I couldn't," adding, "I missed the timing." He continued, "I was the first actor in the entertainment industry to come out and say 'I have a girlfriend,'" and said, "Actors and entertainers are so pitiful. We're all the same human beings, so why can't someone have a partner just because of fame?"
The video appears to have been posted during the period when Moon Ga-bi was pregnant. According to a report by the entertainment media outlet 'Dispatch' on the 24th, which first announced the birth of their son, Moon Ga-bi informed Jung Woo-sung of her pregnancy in June last year and gave birth to their son in March this year. The two became close after first meeting at a gathering in 2022 but were not officially dating, and it is known that there are no plans for marriage.

Jung Woo-sung's agency, Artist Company, stated, "The child publicly revealed by Moon Ga-bi on social media is indeed Jung Woo-sung's biological child," and added, "We are discussing the best way to raise the child. As a father, he will take full responsibility for the child." However, they also said, "We cannot confirm details related to the timing of the child's birth, whether Moon Ga-bi and Jung Woo-sung were dating, or any marriage plans, as these are private matters."
Earlier, on the 22nd, Moon Ga-bi announced the birth on her Instagram without mentioning marriage or the child's father. She wrote, "The news came so suddenly that I was unprepared and spent most of my pregnancy quietly under my family's blessings rather than fully enjoying the joy or congratulations of pregnancy," adding, "I always thought I had to hide something precious deep inside. Now, as a mother, I am gathering courage to live a somewhat more ordinary happiness," along with a photo taken with her child.
