Busan Transportation Corporation Holds 'Visiting Recruitment Briefing' at Urban Railway Stations

Busan Transportation Corporation, the largest public enterprise in the Busan area, will directly meet local talents at stations near local universities ahead of its recruitment in the first half of next year.

Busan Transportation Corporation (President Lee Byung-jin) will hold a 'Visiting Recruitment Briefing Session' at four urban railway stations?Busan National University Station, Kyungsung University·Pukyong National University Station, Toseong Station, and Dong-Eui University Station?from the 26th to the 28th.

This is the first time that an urban railway public enterprise is holding its own recruitment briefing sessions at stations. The event aims to provide transparent and accurate information about employment at the corporation to more people by conducting interactive recruitment briefings at stations near universities, which serve as the corporation’s space platform and have a high volume of youth commuters.

The briefing sessions will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at temporary booths inside the urban railway stations, in a one-on-one consultation format lasting about 15 minutes per person. Attendees will receive accurate recruitment information provided by HR staff including recruitment officers, as well as vivid tips on joining the corporation shared by new employees.

There will also be an introduction to the educational programs of the BTC Academy, a railway specialized training institution operated by the corporation. The session will explain niche employment strategies for railway public enterprises using BTC Academy’s specialized training, such as the mandatory Class 2 Electric Vehicle Driver’s License for urban railway train operators and the Railway Traffic Controller certification that can earn additional points.

Participants in the recruitment briefing sessions will receive small souvenirs, and those who respond to the recruitment system survey will have a chance to win coffee gifticons through a raffle.

In particular, the corporation will provide a random box of corporation goods to participants who present excellent opinions regarding the recruitment system, and the suggestions will be reviewed for future improvements to the recruitment system.

Lee Byung-jin, President of Busan Transportation Corporation, said, "This recruitment briefing session is part of the corporation’s effort to meet local talents directly at the workplaces where they will be employed," and added, "Since recruitment will also proceed in the first half of next year, we hope many local talents will participate."
