In a statement, floor spokesperson Jo Ji-yeon commented on the Democratic Party holding its fifth 'Protest Against President Yoon Seok-yeol and First Lady Kim Geon-hee's State Corruption' rally in Gwanghwamun, Seoul, saying, "Changing only the outward appearance of the protest will not make a difference; it is merely court intimidation to protect Leader Lee."
She added, "Leader Lee, who has passively watched the Democratic Party's attempts to undermine the judicial system, claiming belatedly that he 'trusts the judiciary,' is nothing more than using a protective disguise," and urged, "If you truly trust the judiciary, you must first stop the Democratic Party's attempts to undermine the judicial system."
Spokesperson Jo further stated, "The ongoing efforts to push for 'judicial distortion crimes,' 'false accusation crimes against investigative agencies,' and the 'prohibition of targeted investigations law,' as well as the protective offensive called 'prosecutor impeachment,' must be halted immediately," and added, "Retaliatory budget cuts against the judiciary must also be corrected."
In a statement, spokesperson Song Young-hoon said, "The Democratic Party's outdoor rallies have been a complete failure over the past three weeks," pointing out, "This is because our wise citizens have long seen through that the essence of the rallies is 'saving Leader Lee Jae-myung's father.'"
Spokesperson Song emphasized, "The Democratic Party must break the chain of lies that deceive the public through falsehoods and staged acts," and urged, "It is time to return to the right path and focus on the people's livelihood."
