Active University Support... Over 700 Job Seekers Participate
The 2024 Yangsan City Job Fair, jointly hosted by Yangsan City, Dongwon Institute of Science and Technology LINC3.0 Project Group, and Youngsan University University Job Plus Center, with participation from related employment agencies, was successfully concluded on the 19th at the indoor gymnasium of Yangsan Sports Complex, with over 700 job seekers attending.
A total of 31 companies, including Songwol, MSC, and Coupang Fulfillment Service, participated in this job fair, conducting recruitment across various fields such as office/administration, production/manufacturing, design/inspection, sales, and service.
Notably, Nexen Tire held a corporate briefing session that received great responses from participants. The event featured promotional videos on a large LED screen inside the venue, along with a company introduction and Q&A session led by Nexen Tire HR representatives, which was highly appreciated.
On the day of the event, 208 candidates participated in job interviews; 8 were hired on-site, and 105 were selected for a second round of in-depth interviews. Additionally, about 30 candidates submitted resumes to indirectly participating companies, indicating that the final number of hires is expected to increase.
Furthermore, the Employment Welfare Plus Center, Youth Center Cheongdam, Senior Job Creation Support Center, Women’s New Work Center, and Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office Veterans Support Center provided tailored counseling to job seekers from various groups, adding vitality to the event.
A Yangsan City official stated, “This year’s fair, supported actively by Dongwon Institute of Science and Technology LINC3.0 Project Group and Youngsan University University Job Plus Center, offered various side events such as color psychology tests, barista experiences, and interview skills coaching, which enhanced participant satisfaction. Besides the annual job fair, we will continue to support employment for diverse groups through the regularly held ‘Hiring Day! Employment Day!’ events and strive to provide sustainable jobs.”
