Kim Youngsam, Daejeon City Council Member, Proposes Partial Amendment Ordinance on Adjustment Grants for Autonomous Districts

The partial amendment ordinance to the Daejeon Metropolitan City Autonomous District Adjustment Subsidy Ordinance, proposed by Council Member Kim Youngsam (People Power Party, Seogu 2), was passed as originally drafted at the Administrative Autonomy Committee during the 282nd 2nd Regular Session held on the 22nd.

The amendment includes the following: △specification of the calculation criteria for general adjustment subsidies, △strengthening of the conditions for granting and restrictions on the use and return of special adjustment subsidies.

Kim Youngsam stated, "The current ordinance contains ambiguous explanations for the calculation criteria and lacks strict standards for the use of special adjustment subsidies," adding, "As the financial conditions of the autonomous districts continue to deteriorate, I hope this amendment will help provide better administrative services to citizens."

The ordinance is scheduled to be finally decided at the 3rd plenary session of the 282nd 2nd Regular Session to be held on the 13th.
