Cooperation for Establishing Regional Industrial Innovation Ecosystems

The Gwangju Employers Federation (Chairman Yang Jin-seok, Gwangju Employers Federation) signed a business agreement with Honam University to establish a regional industrial innovation ecosystem and nurture settlement-type talent prior to the 1669th Friday Breakfast Forum held on the 22nd at the Holiday Inn Gwangju Hotel, attended by over 140 people.


Through this agreement, the two organizations will build an organic cooperation system for Gwangju's key industries, university innovation growth, industry-academia cooperation, and talent development, and collaborate to create conditions for students to settle in the region.


The main contents of the agreement include ▲ joint development and execution of local-government, industry, academia, and research institute cooperation projects and joint labor-management win-win research ▲ joint planning and operation of government and local government public projects ▲ exchange of job-seeking and recruitment information through an organic collaboration system ▲ support for field training and employment programs to nurture settlement-type talent.


Park Sang-cheol, President of Honam University, said, “Through the agreement with the Gwangju Employers Federation, we will promote field-customized talent development and support students in realizing their dreams at good local companies in every possible way.”


Yang Jin-seok, Chairman of the Gwangju Employers Federation, stated, “Through this agreement, we will promote innovative growth of key industries by jointly developing cooperative projects and conducting joint industry-academia research, and support youth not only in employment but also in settling in the region by providing internship programs.”


Meanwhile, at the Friday Breakfast Forum that day, Kim Kwang-seok, Head of Economic Research at the Korea Economic Industry Research Institute, gave a lecture titled ‘Trump 2.0, Economic Trends and Response Strategies for 2025.’
