Exploring Modern Life and Thought through Sculptural Art
Traces of Life and Moments of Choice Captured in Works
The solo exhibition "Thoughts for Sale" by Choi Dae-kwang, the first resident artist of Gumi Youth Imagination Maru, will be held at Gumi Youth Imagination Maru from the 24th to December 7th.
In this exhibition, artist Choi Dae-kwang presents works that sculpturally interpret the thinking process of modern people. In particular, he expresses the traces of worries and repetitive choices encountered in life through various materials and forms, offering viewers a new visual experience and philosophical reflection.
Choi Dae-kwang majored in sculpture and three-dimensional art and has participated in various public and private projects in Ulsan, Chuncheon, Daegu, and other places.
As a young artist, he uses everyday landscapes and spaces as subjects to build his own unique artistic world through delicate sculptural work. This exhibition allows visitors to explore the depth of his artistic practice.
Regarding this exhibition, Choi Dae-kwang said, "Through works that visualize the traces of choices and thoughts that occur in the process of living, I wanted to share the human concerns we all have," adding, "I hope viewers find an opportunity to confront their own inner selves through the artworks."
