On the afternoon of the 22nd, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, Seoul, attended the donation ceremony for the 'Warm Winter with Hope Ondol' fundraising and goods donation held at the back gate of Nowon-gu Office.
At this ceremony, Seoul Gwangyeom Church donated 1,000 boxes of 7kg kimchi to support low-income vulnerable groups. The donated kimchi will be distributed to low-income vulnerable households such as elderly living alone and people with disabilities through the local community centers.
Seoul Gwangyeom Church practices sharing every year by donating kimchi and food boxes to low-income households in Nowon-gu. Last year, they also took the lead in community sharing by donating kimchi and food worth approximately 88 million won.
Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, said, "I sincerely thank Seoul Gwangyeom Church and its members who provide great help by practicing neighborly love every year," and added, "I hope the donated kimchi will be a great support to our neighbors and help them have a warm winter."
