Governance Forum "SK Square Value-Up Plan Shows Board's Deliberation Trace... Assigned 'A' Grade"

The Korea Corporate Governance Forum announced on the 22nd that it has awarded an 'A' grade to SK Square's announced value enhancement (value-up) plan, noting that there are clear signs of deep consideration centered on the board of directors.

SK Square presented its value enhancement plan, aiming to reduce the net asset value (NAV) discount rate to below 50% by 2027, achieve a return on equity (ROE) exceeding the cost of equity (COE) from 2025 to 2027, and reach a price-to-book ratio (PBR) of 1 or higher by 2027. Additionally, it announced a shareholder return plan totaling 200 billion KRW.


Namwoo Lee, Chairman of the Governance Forum, stated, "The total shareholder return (TSR) recorded 57% in 2023 and 61% by the end of October 2024, demonstrating a shareholder-friendly approach and making it the most exemplary among domestic holding companies." He added, "There are clear signs of deep consideration centered on the board of directors. This is a shareholder-centric exemplary case that not only other SK affiliates but all domestic holding companies should learn from."
