Jungnang-gu Saemaeul Women's Association Prepares and Delivers 7,000kg of Love-filled Kimchi

Ryukyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, is attending the 'Love Kimchi Making' event and making kimchi together.

On the 20th and 21st, Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi) hosted the "Love Kimchi Making" event organized by the Saemaeul Women's Association.

The "Love Kimchi Making" event is held annually to extend a warm helping hand to underprivileged neighbors. Approximately 150 volunteers, including members of the Women's Association, participated in making kimchi on this day.

Despite the difficulties in preparing kimchi due to the increased price of napa cabbage compared to last year, about 7,000 kg of kimchi was made and delivered to around 500 low-income households in the area.

Ryu Gyeong-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, who participated in the event, said, "Through this kimchi making, I hope to share warmth with neighbors in need and feel the united spirit of the local community," adding, "I thank everyone who personally made kimchi and joined the volunteer effort for our neighbors."
