This year, infection prevention management education was conducted for 89 workers at 8 long-term care facilities for the elderly, and infection prevention education was provided to 1,536 students at 10 elementary schools. In particular, in preparation for the possible resurgence of COVID-19, consultations on infection management within nursing hospitals were also conducted together with the infection control office of Paju Hospital.
Next year, the infection prevention management project is planned to be further strengthened. Especially, nursing hospitals and facilities for people with mental disabilities, which are vulnerable to infections, will be added as management targets, and customized infection control programs considering the characteristics of each facility will be operated.
By combining the infection control experts of Paju Hospital and the field experience of Paju Public Health Center, the plan is to raise the level of infection prevention management in the local community by providing regular on-site inspections, customized education, and consulting.
Lee Han-sang, director of Paju Public Health Center, said, "We expect that infection prevention management in the local community will be further strengthened through close collaboration with Paju Hospital," and added, "We will do our best for the health and safety of Paju City residents."
