This meeting was promoted based on the GTX station area win-win development business agreement signed in June between Paju City, the Korea Land and Housing Corporation, and private developers. Officials from relevant departments of Paju City, representatives from the Korea Land and Housing Corporation headquarters and Paju Business Division, and private developers attended to discuss timely promotion plans for the development project through public-private cooperation ahead of the scheduled opening of the GTX-A Line (Unjeong?Seoul Station) at the end of the year, and to specify the roles of each organization.

The focus of this discussion was the cultural park to be created above the Unjeong Central GTX Station. Since the selection of the winning design in August, the project has entered the full-scale detailed design phase, focusing on introducing specialized facilities that meet citizens' expectations and maximizing effectiveness by closely linking the leading facilities within the commercial and office spaces of private developers.
Mayor Kim Kyung-il of Paju City stated, “With the continuous increase of residents in Unjeong 3 District, the opening of the GTX-A Line will be an important opportunity for Unjeong New Town to establish itself as an economic and cultural hub in the northern metropolitan area.” He added, “We will provide full administrative support to the working-level staff to ensure that the development project prioritizing citizens proceeds without any setbacks.”
