A man in his 40s who killed a woman in an officetel in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, was handed over to the prosecution while in custody.
The Gangseo Police Station in Seoul announced on the 22nd that they had sent Mr. A, a man in his 40s, to the prosecution on the 15th on charges of murder.
According to the police, Mr. A is accused of killing Ms. B, a woman in her 30s, at an officetel near Hwagok Station in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, on the morning of the 8th.
Fire authorities who responded to a report saying "there is a burning smell" found Ms. B deceased at the scene and requested cooperation from the police. It is reported that a weapon and other items were found at the scene.
A police official stated, "We judged that it would be difficult to consider this a murder related to a romantic relationship."
