Gumi Urban Corporation Wins Presidential Award in Two Categories at National Quality Competition

Gumi Urban Corporation received the Presidential Award for two teams at the ‘50th National Quality Competition Awards Ceremony’ held on November 20 at the COEX Auditorium in Seoul.

At the "50th National Quality Competition Awards Ceremony," two teams from Gumi Urban Corporation received the Presidential Award.

The ‘National Quality Competition’ is an event hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy’s National Institute of Technology and Standards and organized by the Korea Standards Association. This year, 298 teams and over 2,600 members selected through preliminary competitions in 17 cities and provinces nationwide competed fiercely by presenting excellent cases of on-site quality improvement across 18 categories.

Gumi Urban Corporation advanced two teams to the national competition through the Gyeongbuk Province preliminary round, and was recognized for excellence in quality innovation activities in two categories: ESG and on-site improvement, receiving the Presidential Award (Bronze Prize).

Lee Jae-woong, President of Gumi Urban Corporation, said, “It is even more meaningful to achieve the great feat of receiving the Presidential Award in two categories on our first entry,” adding, “We will continue to actively discover improvement cases through quality innovation activities and take the lead in ESG management activities.”
