Naver announced on the 22nd that it will revamp MY Place from a review platform into a personalized platform that manages overall local experiences.
The revamped MY Place will be available on the Naver application, web, and the MY tab of the Naver Map app. Naver Map plans to support users to use it optimized for mobile environments through an update scheduled for next month.
Through this revamp, MY Place expands from a local review platform to an integrated platform where users can gather their local-related activity history. Users can not only write reviews but also check reservation details, order status, train ticket information, and place visit timelines. Launched in 2019, MY Place has supported users in recording their place visit experiences and discovering places that suit their tastes by exploring various reviews.
Additionally, it strengthens the synergy of Naver’s various local services such as reservations, maps, and place reviews. A key feature is providing personalized local content based on activity history.
When the scheduled visit date to a reserved place approaches, it provides weather information for the area and guides the time and route for each mode of transportation. Furthermore, based on Naver’s AI-based place recommendation system 'AirSPACE,' it also recommends nearby places worth visiting around reserved restaurants and accommodations.
Through the 'Timeline' tab within MY Place, users can gather records such as upcoming reservation schedules, completed reservations, orders, ticket information, and photo and video reviews left at visited places. Users can conveniently view and manage their activity history using various filters and date search functions.
Places recently visited or reviewed are marked with icons on the map, allowing users to check their visit experiences in a three-dimensional way. Naver plans to enhance connectivity by supporting the ability to check movement records through Naver Map, such as route finding and navigation guidance, on the timeline in the future.
