According to Paju City on the 22nd, the revision plan includes increasing the number of buses operating on routes 80, 150, 567, and 900, as well as expanding the frequency of route 9 buses. The city plans to implement the revision starting from the first bus on December 1.

These routes have experienced long intervals between buses due to financial and management issues faced by transportation companies, causing ongoing inconvenience to citizens. To resolve these issues, Paju City, in consultation with Gyeonggi Province, decided to convert the five routes to a public management system. Accordingly, the city reclaimed the routes from the existing transportation companies and selected new operators.

With this revision, city bus route 80 will connect more quickly to Daehwa Station on Subway Line 3 and will be adjusted to pass through GTX Unjeong Jungang Station, further strengthening connectivity with the railway. However, until the road to GTX Unjeong Jungang Station opens, the bus will start from the Sannae Maeul Central Shopping Area stop.

Routes 150 and 900 will have increased buses and some route changes, while route 9 will have two additional trips per day. Additionally, route 567 is expected to operate more smoothly through increased bus numbers.

Mayor Kim Kyung-il of Paju City said, “I thank the citizens who have patiently waited for this revision for a long time,” adding, “I expect transportation convenience to greatly improve through this increase in buses. We will continue to do our best to further develop public transportation services through ongoing improvements.”
