Korean Standards Association Appoints Moon Dong-min, Former Standing Member of the Trade Commission at the Ministry of Industry, as New President

The Korea Standards Association announced on the 22nd that it held a temporary general meeting at the DT Center in Samseong-dong, Seoul, and appointed Moon Dong-min, former standing member of the Trade Commission at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, as the new president.

Newly appointed President Moon graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Economics and earned a master's degree from the Graduate School of Public Administration at Seoul National University. He entered public service through the 38th Administrative Examination in 1995. Since then, he has held various positions including Head of the Gumi Cooperation Team at the Ministry of Industry and Resources, Director of Industrial Technology Development, Director of Steel and Chemicals, Director of Industrial Policy at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Commercial Attach? at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Japan, Director of Resource Industry Policy, and Director of Trade and Investment. He is regarded as an expert who has demonstrated capabilities in domestic and international industrial and trade policies.


President Moon stated, "We will support companies to overcome global political and economic uncertainties and instability and achieve sustainable growth," adding, "In particular, we will strive to present solutions to address imminent future challenges such as the spread of AI, climate change, and the demographic cliff."
