Gyeonggi Province has revamped its representative comprehensive information platform for provincial news, the ‘Gyeonggi News Portal,’ into a responsive website on the 22nd.
Gyeonggi Province explained that it has reorganized the site from the previous ‘adaptive’ structure, which was divided into PC and mobile versions, to a ‘responsive’ structure that automatically optimizes for all digital devices.
As a result, users can now view optimized web pages that automatically adjust to the screen size regardless of whether they access the site via smartphone, tablet, or PC. The UI/UX improvements reflecting the latest trends have also significantly enhanced user convenience.
Gyeonggi Province has also greatly improved the main screen layout. The titles and images of major articles are matched together to increase readability, and the newly introduced ‘Today, Gyeonggi’ section provides curated information that residents are likely to be interested in. Additionally, content areas such as cultural events, contests, and public opinion surveys have been rearranged for easier access, and a new integrated URL system has been established.
Lee Kyung-hoon, Director of Resident Communication at Gyeonggi Province, stated, "This revamp is an important step to strengthen the connection between residents and Gyeonggi Province," adding, "We will continue to strive to build a better digital communication environment."
