98% of Valid Votes in Favor... "Reflecting the Voices of Union Members"
The Jeonnam Office of Education branch of the National Public Officials Labor Union announced on the 21st that Minsungnam, a public officer at Jangseong Bukil Elementary School, and Chayunju, a public officer at Muan Unnam Elementary School, were elected as the 10th branch chief and secretary-general, respectively.
Branch Chief Minsungnam and Secretary-General Chayunju were elected with 98.02% approval from valid voters in a mobile election held over two days from the 20th to the 21st.

Branch Chief-elect Min expressed, “I deeply thank the union members who supported me, and I will never forget the poor working conditions and the relative deprivation experienced by union members that I saw and heard about at 22 city and county educational sites during the election campaign period,” adding, “I will do my best to ensure that the voices from the field are properly reflected.”
Min continued, “The professional administrative capabilities of general staff are the most important driving force moving Jeonnam education, but the reality in the education sector is that they are not properly respected,” and pledged, “The labor union will fulfill its role to guarantee the professional domain of general staff and to have their value recognized.”
Secretary-General-elect Chayunju also stated, “I will fight alongside union members to improve the rights, welfare, and working conditions of general staff, and raise the proud status of general staff as a core entity of Jeonnam education.”
