Jangseong-gun Receives Positive Response for 'Eokkaedongmu Consulting' Targeting Peach Farmers

Contributing to Management Cost Reduction and Income Improvement

Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do recently announced on the 21st that it conducted the ‘Eokkaedongmu Consulting’ for peach cultivation farms at the Agricultural Farmers' Hall.

Developed by the Jeonnam Agricultural Research and Extension Services in 2016, ‘Eokkaedongmu Consulting’ is a consulting method where farms cultivating the same crop gather in one place to compare and analyze management issues based on management record book data and derive solutions.

Starting with a lecture on how to write management record books in September, the county conducted a total of five sessions of ‘Eokkaedongmu Consulting’ for peach farms. Efforts were made not only to acquire theoretical knowledge but also to advance cultivation techniques through visits to the Peach Research Institute.

Farmer Kim, who participated in the consulting, expressed satisfaction, saying, “It was beneficial to analyze the farm management situation and identify improvements through one-on-one guidance,” and added, “It was a twofold benefit as I was able to learn the latest cultivation techniques.”

Park Eonjeong, director of the Jangseong-gun Agricultural Technology Center, said, “Since the consulting has received a positive response from farms, we will continue to expand Eokkaedongmu Consulting to contribute to reducing management costs and increasing income.”
