Dongduk Women's University has decided to temporarily suspend discussions on transitioning to a coeducational system.

On the morning of the 21st, Dongduk Women's University announced that through a meeting between the university's department heads and the student council, it was decided to temporarily halt discussions on coeducation. The university agreed to lift the blockade of classrooms except for the main building and resume classes, on the condition that if discussions are resumed in the future, they will be conducted in consultation with the students.
The student council is reported to plan to continue occupying the main building. Previously, the student council held a general student meeting the day before and conducted a vote on the transition to coeducation. The result was 0 in favor and 1,971 opposed out of 1,973 voters, leading to the rejection of the proposal. The voting results were conveyed during the meeting between the department heads and the student council.
