Mexicana 'Chipiling' Solidifies Position as a Bestseller Product

Mexicana, the renowned brand of seasoned chicken, has successfully generated significant buzz in a short period with its ‘Chipiling’ product launched last October, steadily recording high sales growth while increasing customer interest. This has solidified its position as a bestseller in Mexicana Chicken’s lineup.


‘Chipiling,’ which began sales on the 15th of last month, breaks away from the standardized topping methods commonly seen in the chicken market by incorporating 100% natural mozzarella cheese inside the chicken, offering a differentiated concept never seen before.


Before its release, ‘Chipiling’ amplified customer interest through various promotions and events. It achieved an impressive 500% sales growth compared to its first week, surpassing 200,000 cumulative sales in a short time. Due to overwhelming orders, some franchise stores recently experienced an early sell-out phenomenon, known as ‘out-of-stock’ situations.

Meanwhile, Mexicana has been fully committed to promoting ‘Chipiling’ by broadcasting video advertisements across various media, including terrestrial TV channels, since the 17th of last month, shortly after the product’s launch. The newly produced ‘Chipiling’ video ad uses the theme of ‘wanting to stretch’ with the concept “Stretching is healing. Chicken is for continuous eating,” cleverly expressing the common characteristic of the main ingredient, mozzarella cheese, and the characters in a double entendre. Notably, unlike traditional advertising approaches, this unique campaign focuses intensively on highlighting the product’s inherent features to deepen customers’ understanding and stimulate their desire to purchase.


Additionally, by choosing everyday settings such as classrooms, offices, and subways as the backdrop, the ad enhances realism and has been praised for successfully eliciting empathy from viewers.
