A Japanese firefighter was revealed to have appeared in adult videos to repay debts.
On the 21st, the Saitama Newspaper reported the story of a firefighter from Koshigaya City in the southeastern part of Saitama Prefecture. According to the report, the city issued a six-month suspension order to the firefighter (26) based on the Local Public Service Act. The firefighter appeared in adult videos a total of five times between December 2022 and August 2023, earning 250,000 yen (approximately 2.25 million won). Although those around him were unaware, the incident came to light when a photo from the video featuring the firefighter was posted anonymously on the city’s website bulletin board last April.
The firefighter admitted to appearing in the videos, stating, "I had debts, and when I consulted a friend, they recommended appearing in adult videos, so I decided to do it." The fire department stated, "We will work to prevent recurrence through compliance with service regulations and strengthening discipline."
