Yangju City, Yangju City Choir Successfully Concludes 'Matinee Concert'

Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 21st that the 'Yangju City Symphony Orchestra Matinee Concert,' held on the 20th at the Yangju City Arts Troupe rehearsal room, was successfully concluded.

To get closer to the citizens, this concert was held by inviting the public to the rehearsal room where the city symphony orchestra usually practices, showcasing a large-scale performance that had not been possible before due to stage space limitations.

Conducted by Maestro Park Seung-yu, the concert featured a collaboration with renowned pianist Hwang Geon-young performing Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 1, as well as a solo performance of Beethoven's Symphony No. 7, receiving great acclaim from audiences thirsty for authentic classical music performances.

The Yangju City Symphony Orchestra, which attempted and successfully completed its first matinee concert?meaning a daytime performance in French?plans to continue organizing various performances to provide cultural benefits to diverse social groups.

A Yangju City official stated, “We are grateful for the enthusiastic support and participation from citizens in this first-ever matinee concert. As the first city symphony orchestra established in northern Gyeonggi, we will do our best to become the best symphony orchestra that can serve as a model for other cities and counties.”
