Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) has published the 'Crisis Household Discovery Activity Manual' to facilitate the smooth execution of welfare tasks within the Donginjeok Safety Net.

The Donginjeok Safety Net consists of activists including honorary social welfare officers (community leaders, Dong Community Security Council members) and workers from service industries who have signed agreements to discover crisis households.

As unpaid honorary positions, they check on isolated neighbors and assist in connecting local resources. Gwangjin-gu has 992 participants contributing to the elimination of welfare blind spots.

Accordingly, the district prepared the manual to provide more practical assistance. It is 24 pages long, designed for easy portability, and enhances readability with brief explanations accompanied by illustrations.

In particular, it conveys precautions during activities and guidelines for handling crisis situations to ensure safe operations.

The detailed contents include the roles of the Donginjeok Safety Net, methods for detecting crisis signals, and reporting procedures. It also provides counseling tips, communication methods, and precautions for household visits. The manual was published in 1,600 copies and distributed, and it will be used in future welfare-related training sessions.

Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, stated, “We have newly published this manual to provide necessary assistance to many people who participate in realizing mutual welfare,” adding, “We will continue to strive to minimize welfare blind spots through collaborative communication efforts between the public and private sectors.”
