Daegu Yeungjin College (President Choi Jae-young) and T&S Engineering Co., Ltd. signed an industry-academia cooperation agreement for customized, demand-driven education on the afternoon of the 21st in the university conference room to explore mutual cooperation plans.
According to this agreement, both institutions announced that they will closely cooperate in education and curriculum operation to cultivate semiconductor specialists.

The main contents of the agreement also include the operation and support of programs to strengthen the practical field capabilities of students in the Semiconductor Electronics Department at the college.
T&S Engineering Co., Ltd. will provide industrial field training opportunities to department students, and Yeungjin College plans to actively cooperate in developing and guiding the training programs.
T&S Engineering Co., Ltd. is a company specialized in semiconductor equipment maintenance and repair, managing key semiconductor equipment at SK Hynix sites in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province, and Cheongju, Chungbuk Province.
The Semiconductor Electronics Department at Yeungjin College was the only specialized college selected last year by the Ministry of Education for the advanced field of innovative convergence universities in the semiconductor materials, parts, and equipment (SoBuJang) sector, gaining further momentum in nurturing talent in the semiconductor and electronics fields.
Through this project, Yeungjin College is receiving a total of 18 billion KRW (over 3 billion KRW annually) in government funding until 2026 to establish advanced semiconductor process equipment training labs and focus on producing specialized talent in the SoBuJang sector.
Ha Jong-bong, head (professor) of the Semiconductor Electronics Department at Yeungjin College, stated, “This agreement is expected to have a positive impact on the industry by contributing to the development of the semiconductor industry and talent cultivation through field-centered, customized education. Based on our department’s proven track record of outstanding achievements in producing semiconductor talent, we will do our best to nurture top-tier professionals in the semiconductor SoBuJang sector.”
Meanwhile, over the past decade, the Semiconductor Electronics Department at Yeungjin College has established itself as a cradle for talent in electronics, semiconductors, displays, and mobile communications by producing 1,346 employed graduates at major domestic companies such as Samsung, SK, LG, and overseas firms.
