Yangju City Holds Policy Real-Name System Deliberation Committee Meeting... Selects 35 Key Management Targets

Gyeonggi Yangju City (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 21st that it held a Policy Real-Name System Deliberation Committee on the 20th to select 35 major city policy projects with high public interest as part of the 'Policy Real-Name System Priority Management Projects.'

The 'Policy Real-Name (Responsibility) System' is a system that enhances the transparency and accountability of policies by disclosing the real names of those involved in major policies and selecting priority management projects.

Through this deliberation committee, the city selected 35 projects including △ attracting an international skating rink △ operating the Yangju City External Cooperation Office △ promoting the registration of Hoam Site as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage △ constructing a joint-type comprehensive funeral facility in Yangju City △ building the metropolitan railway for Subway Line 7 (Dobongsan~Okjeong) △ developing the Eunnam General Industrial Complex △ constructing the GTX-C line, among others.

The criteria for selecting priority management projects include △ major city policy projects △ self-funded projects investing 1 billion KRW or more △ research service projects worth 50 million KRW or more △ major event projects worth 100 million KRW or more △ enactment and revision of local regulations that significantly affect citizens.

The selected projects are transparently disclosed and can be viewed by any citizen through the 'Policy Real-Name (Responsibility) System' section on the Yangju City website.

A Yangju City official stated, "In addition to the projects selected through this deliberation, citizens can apply at any time for projects they are interested in through the 'National Application Real-Name (Responsibility) System' on the Yangju City website," adding, "We will continue to fulfill citizens' right to know and enhance transparency and accountability in policies through the Policy Real-Name System."
