Discussion on 2025 Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Policies

At the committee meeting, after appointing new members, they shared the current status of child abuse this year and discussed policies related to child abuse prevention and publicity for the coming year.

All members agreed on the opinion that education on child abuse prevention and improvement of social awareness are urgently needed, and that not only local governments but also related organizations must closely cooperate to provide appropriate protection for children in need of care.

Chairman Park Won-seok, the first deputy mayor, said, “Goyang Special City is focusing on raising awareness and promoting the rights and prevention of child abuse, and is doing its best to establish a child abuse prevention and protection system,” adding, “We ask for your great interest and participation to create an environment where children can grow up safer and healthier.”

A Goyang Special City official stated, “We will continue to make efforts to establish a positive parenting culture that respects children so that children can grow up in a safe and happy environment.”
