LetsRun Park Busan-Gyeongnam Hosts Nolmeong Shwimeong Festival Celebrating Breeders' Cup

Breeders' Cup Championship Commemorative Jeju Island Theme Festival 'Nolmyeong Swimeom Festival' to be Held on the 24th

33 Various Experience Programs Including Jeju Island Theme Events, Generous Championship Prize Event

Korea Racing Authority LetsRun Park Busan-Gyeongnam (Head Eom Young-seok) will hold a horse racing festival called the ‘Nolmyeong Swimeom Festival’ themed around Jeju Island, the hometown of the racehorses, to commemorate the Breeders' Cup Classic race sponsored by Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, which will be held on the 24th.

Through the Jeju Island-themed events celebrating the Breeders' Cup Rookie (Busan-Gyeongnam Race 6) and Breeders' Cup Queen (Busan-Gyeongnam Race 5), the purpose is to promote the significance of the Classic race and the sponsoring local government, Jeju, while creating a new horse racing culture like a festival.

This festival is a sensory-themed horse racing festival that conveys memories and dreams of Jeju, consisting of various attractions and experiential events themed around Jeju, such as a Jeju tourism promotion center, Jeju horse history experience, and shell bead making.

Participants prepare items in the same color as the jockey’s cap and cheer for the races in designated cheering zones, adding fun to race viewing with various cheering events. Banners installed throughout the park host a quiz event about the Classic race with camping gear prizes, and the winning horse entry box event will offer generous prizes such as Dyson vacuum cleaners and Apple Watches through a raffle.

In addition, various performances and events will be held. At the park’s Derby Square, a flea market and 33 experience booths will be open. Programs such as VR horse riding experience, Perler beads, drone flying, and board games will be operated for families to enjoy together.
