Community Security Enhancement and Welfare
For a Changnyeong Without Blind Spots
Changnyeong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, and the Changnyeong-gun Community Social Security Council held the 2024 Regional Welfare Festival at Gyeonghwa Hall in Changnyeong-eup, with about 250 council members in attendance.
The event, held on the 20th, was organized to honor the dedicated efforts of the Community Social Security Council members and honorary social welfare officers who have worked tirelessly to promote community social security and create a Changnyeong without welfare blind spots, as well as to share achievements.
At the event, 27 individuals who contributed to the activation of public-private cooperation and the discovery and support of welfare blind spots were awarded commendations. Additionally, a video showcasing the achievements of the past year was screened, and a platform for cooperation and communication was created through presentations of outstanding cases of specialized projects from towns and townships.
Kim Hee-jung, the civilian chairman, said, “Through this event, we will once again reflect on our role as a welfare safety net and strive to become a council that continues to grow.”
County Governor Seong Nak-in stated, “The complex and diverse problems of our society and the welfare needs of residents are difficult to solve with only the national public support,” adding, “We will do our best to realize inclusive welfare where neighbors in need are not marginalized and all residents enjoy their rights and benefits.”
Meanwhile, the Changnyeong-gun Community Social Security Council is promoting various projects aimed at improving residents’ welfare through public-private cooperation and plans to continue efforts to eliminate welfare blind spots and enhance the quality of life for residents.
