The Policy Council was launched in October last year to increase transparency in the city administration process and to cooperate on various policies. It is held regularly once every six months, contributing to strengthening mutual trust between the city and the council and enhancing the effectiveness of policy implementation.

About 20 people attended the meeting, including Deputy Mayor Park Seong-nam, city council members Kim Hyun-chae, Kim Tae-eun, Oh Beom-gu, Lee Gye-ok, Kim Ji-ho, and heads of executive departments.

The attendees shared eight major agenda items, including the city's financial status and outlook, and the progress of establishing integrated infrastructure for child care, through open dialogue and mutual respect.

Council member Kim Hyun-chae stated, "I will continue to actively communicate and cooperate for the development of Uijeongbu City."

Council member Lee Gye-ok said, "Let us work together to ensure that the policies promoted by the city lead to the happiness of the citizens."

Deputy Mayor Park Seong-nam said, "It was a meaningful time to reaffirm the importance of cooperation and communication," and added, "We will carefully review and implement the discussed matters effectively so that citizen convenience can be improved."
