This delinquent disposition was carried out based on thorough preliminary investigations, including rights analysis. The city determined that the vehicle was being operated in Busan Metropolitan City and was likely registered at an apartment owned by the occupant, prompting the tracking operation.
The Pocheon City Mobile Collection Team conducted a long stakeout on the night of the 18th in the underground parking lot of an apartment complex in Busan Metropolitan City, discovered the vehicle registered under a false name, and took measures to make it inoperable by installing wheel clamps and attaching seals.
The vehicle is scheduled to be auctioned through an automobile auction agency, and the proceeds will be used to cover the delinquent local taxes.
Kim Su-jeong, Director of the Collection Division, stated, “Through this delinquent disposition, we have expanded our own revenue sources, realized tax justice, and prevented traffic violations caused by vehicles registered under false names, thereby creating a safer traffic environment. Pocheon City will continue to do its best to realize tax justice by tracking delinquents even outside the jurisdiction.”
