Jinju City in Gyeongnam is conducting discharge management counseling activities for early stroke patients about to be discharged and disabled individuals in need of rehabilitation in collaboration with affiliated hospitals in the area.
The city, in cooperation with the Regional Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease Center at Gyeongsang National University Hospital and local hospitals, identifies early stroke patients about to be discharged and disabled individuals requiring rehabilitation, and provides education on the importance of early rehabilitation and rehabilitation information through home visit counseling after discharge.
Additionally, counseling for early reintegration into the community and registration management of the subjects help prepare for situations faced after discharge.
An official from the public health center stated, “We will continue to strive to improve health promotion and quality of life by providing systematic services utilizing community resources for early stroke patients and disabled individuals in need of rehabilitation.”
Meanwhile, the Jinju Public Health Center is implementing community-based rehabilitation projects to promote the health of disabled individuals in the area, operating home visit rehabilitation services that provide rehabilitation exercise education and health counseling, rehabilitation equipment rental services, and a rehabilitation project room for functional recovery.
