Geohap Sanhap Gaegun, a Gathering for Unity of Successor Agricultural Managers and a Venue for Enhancing Farmers' Rights and Interests
Hapcheon County in Gyeongnam announced on the 21st that the 18th Korean Successor Agricultural Managers Geochang, Hamyang, Sancheong, and Hapcheon County Federation Sports Competition was held at the county gymnasium.
The sports competition of the Korean Successor Agricultural Managers from the four counties is held on a four-year rotation among Geochang, Hamyang, Sancheong, and Hapcheon, with Hapcheon County hosting this year following last year's event in Sancheong County.
The event was attended by County Governor Kim Yoon-cheol, Chairman Jeong Bong-hoon of the Hapcheon County Council, Chairman Lee Jae-woon of the Geochang County Council, Provincial Assembly members Shin Jong-cheol and Kim Jae-woong, council members from the four counties, heads of institutions and social organizations, Chairman Ahn Byung-hwa of the Gyeongnam Provincial Federation, the federation chairmen of the four counties, and about 300 members.
The event began with the opening declaration by former chairman Joo Young-shin, followed by △opening ceremony △presentation of merit and appreciation plaques △three cheers in strong opposition to the Hwanggang water intake facility in the first part. In the second part, inter-county competitions were held to promote unity and friendship among agricultural managers from the four counties, providing a venue for enhancing the rights and harmony of farmers.
Chairman Yeo Han-hoon of the Hapcheon County Federation said, “I thank the members from the four counties who traveled a long way despite their busy farming schedules, and I hope today will be a place of harmony where members can communicate and enjoy themselves.”
Governor Kim Yoon-cheol said, “I thank everyone who came to Hapcheon for the unity and harmony of the successor agricultural managers from the four counties. I hope you will play a central role as the backbone of agriculture in western Gyeongnam and contribute to creating happy agriculture and rural communities.”
